Eligibility Requirements

Requirements
  • Enlisted U.S. military veteran                                                
  • Enrolled at an accredited college or university
  • Available for the entire 10-week program that will run from June 18 to August 23, 2024
    • We will consider applicants who need to miss up to 1 week of the program, but strong preference will be given to applicants who can attend the entire 10-week program
  • Interested in a STEM discipline related to bioengineering
  • Students may not undertake any other projects, courses, or employment during this program

Expectations


Upon being accepted to Caltech DIVE, students sign an agreement to fulfill the following requirements:

  • To devote full effort to participating in DIVE (Fellows cannot take courses or hold another job)
  • To conduct research in person
  • To participate in the project for the full ten-week period
  • To give a final oral presentation
  • To abide by Caltech's Honor Code
